Louisville and Indiana Railroad plans to temporarily close westbound State Road 46 (Third Street) today for railroad crossing repairs in Columbus.
On or after today, westbound State Road 46 will close to traffic between Lindsey Street and State Road 11 (Jonesville Pike) in Columbus. Westbound State Road 46 is expected to reopen Sunday morning, weather permitting. The detour will follow Lindsey Street to Second Street to State Road 46 eastbound to U.S. 31 to County Road 400S to State Road 11 to State Road 46.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
