Sassafras Tea Festival and Civil War Living History — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jennings County Historical Society Museum, 134 E. Brown St., Vernon. Includes a bake sale at the museum, free sassafras tea, working blacksmith shop, wood turners, broom maker, Underground Railroad tours, Music on the Square, Civil War encampments and much more. Spring Tonic Run registration at the Vernon Gym starts at 7 a.m. April 26, run starts at 8 a.m. Information: jenningscounty.org/events.
Poured Paint Art Workshop — noon to 1:30 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Attendees will learn techniques to pour and move paint, creating unique and vibrant pieces of art on an 8×8 canvas. All materials will be provided. Tickets are $25. Hutchfest — 5 to 11 p.m., The Commons, 300 Washington St., Columbus. The Jackson Way will perform at 4th Street Bar & Grill, Downstairs Mix-up will perform at The Garage Pub & Grill, Fabulous Hickbillys will perform at The Eagles and Albino Catfish Band will perform at Moose Lodge. No cover charge.
Beethoven: A Celebration Concert — 7 p.m., Bartholomew Catholic Church, 1306 27th St., Columbus. As part of the St. Bartholomew Concert Series, St. Bartholomew Choir and Friends will present “Mass in C” and “Hallelujah” from the oratorio “Christ on the Mount of Olives.” The event will celebrate Beethoven’s 255th birthday. A fundraising meal will be offered before the concert from 6 to 7 p.m. by the Friends of Haiti Ministry in the Parish Hall.
