Sharon S. Taylor

GREENWOOD

Sharon S. Taylor, 67 of Greenwood, passed from this life Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her home.

Ms. Taylor was born January 21, 1956, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Richard H. and Doris L. Clerkin Nachand.

Sharon was a retired nurse practitioner and a loving mother to her son and late mother.

In Sharon’s 40 years of nursing she loved helping people. It was her passion. She gave everything for her family. Her son Mark was in a bad car accident in 2022. She was at his side night and day at the University of Louisville Hospital in intensive care, as she was a nurse practitioner herself and didn’t trust the doctors. She was his rock and a rock star herself. Mark got moved to Greenwood Indiana and she was the only reason Mark gained weight and is the reason he is here today. It took him 8 months to walk, but he made a goal to walk before Christmas and he did. That was her greatest joy to see her son walk. Sharon loved reading novels &books. The greatest story that she is reading in heaven today is the newspaper and magazine article about her son Mark. I am sure she is smiling from up above and saying “Markey I am proud of you.”

She enjoyed trips to Florida, the beach, flower gardening and listening to K-LOVE radio. She took her kids to almost every state in the United States. She loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed attending her families’ sporting events.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew (Aimee) Bense of Edinburgh and Mark Bense of Columbus; grandchildren, Bryce Bense, Jacob Bense, Sydney Stout and Lela Stout; siblings, Patricia Nachand Michael (Jean) Nachand and Mary Kay Wood; several nieces and nephews; her companion, John Talley; and former daughter-in-law, Blaine Stout.
