The Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, and the Indiana State Police will be participating
in an annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service at 9 a.m. on May 16th in the Public Safety Plaza near Second and
Brown Streets.
This memorial service will honor and pay respect to the 165 law enforcement officers that died in the line
of duty in 2024, including two from Indiana. The memorial service will take place on the Friday of National Police Week.
