STRAUGHN — South Decatur advanced to the championship game of the Class A Tri Sectional with a 13-6 semifinal win against Morristown Wednesday.
Riley Benge went 4 for 4 with two doubles, two home runs and four RBIs and threw a 10-hitter for the Cougars (11-10). Raegan Benge went 2 for 3 with two doubles, Lilly Morray and Samantha Cole each went 2 for 4, Lydia Witkemper went 2 for 5 with a triple and Dalilah Martin smacked a home run.
South Decatur will play the Tri-Knightstown winner in the sectional final at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
