Franklin students receive awards

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The spring semester at Franklin College culminates in several awards ceremonies to honor students for their exceptional scholarly efforts during the 2024-25 academic year. Students were recognized with merit awards and scholarships at the annual Spring Honors Convocation, held on April 2, and at the annual Pulliam School of Journalism Recognition Dinner, held on May 2.

Students receiving awards from the Columbus area included:

History Awards: Allison P. Meyer, of Columbus, received the I. George Blake Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

Journalism Awards: Chloe M. White, of Elizabethtown, received the Scott Alexander Journalism Scholarship;

Avery Tays, of Columbus, received The Franklin MVP Certificate.

Mathematics & Computing Awards: Seth P. Poindexter, of Columbus, received the Freshman Computing Award.

Modern Languages Awards: Avery G. Tays, of Columbus, received the Elementary French Award.
