Looking Back – June 8

St. Bartholomew fourth- and fifth-grade students tour the birthing center on May 27, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital. The students worked with media specialist Sarah McGovern on the Books for Babies project.

Eighty-seven fourth- and fifth-graders from St. Bartholomew School completed at Books for Babies project, where each student took a copy of their favorite book, a recording of them reading it and a letter, which were placed in a gift bag to be given to a new mother and baby at Columbus Regional Hospital.

2000

The eighth annual Columbus Elderhostel program began, with 46 seniors, 40 from across the country and six local residents, spending their days learning in classrooms, exploring architectural landmarks and sightseeing in Brown County.

1975

1975 Columbus North High School graduate Marty Larkin traveled to Colorado to perform at Alice’s Restaurant, a Boulder youth center, that catered to folk music.
