Darren Edward Tubbs, 49, of Columbus, IN passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. He was an organ donor.
He was born on April 14, 1976 in San Diego, California. His favorite hobbies were fishing, cooking, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. He loved joking around and laughing.
Darren is survived by his mother, Pamela L. Gilley, of Columbus, IN; sister, Lisa Fairbrother, of Columbus, IN; brother, Travis Tubbs (fiance, Melanie and her children), of Franklin, IN; nephews, Brayden Fairbrother, of North Vernon, IN, and Austin Tubbs, of Ninevah, IN; grandmother, Shirley Starling, of California, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Tubbs, of Idaho; grandparents, Lila and Vernon Tubbs, of California, Bobby Tubbs, of California, Joellen Smelcer-Tubbs, of California, Glen C. Starling, of California, and Wanda Overvig, of Columbus, IN.
He is already deeply missed and very much loved.
