Flood watch in effect until 10 p.m. for central Indiana

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch at 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. in anticipation of excessive rainfall of 2 to 4 inches throughout Central Indiana.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Heavy rainfall is expected in a corridor along the stationary front/outflow boundary merger along I-70 through late afternoon.
