Protests in Los Angeles over President Donald Trump’s deportation policies have ignited a firestorm, with Democrats. On June 9, California Gov. Gavin Newsom told MSNBC’s Jacob Soboroff, “Donald Trump has created the conditions you see on your TV tonight.” Similarly, on June 8, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass declared in a message to residents, “What we’re seeing in our city is chaos provoked by the Trump administration.”
To understand the flaw in their reasoning, consider this analogy: Imagine you own a home, and while you’re away, Democrat leaders like Newsom and Bass invite 10 illegal immigrants to live in your house without your permission. The illegal immigrants eat your food, sleep in your bed, and use your TV. When you return and demand they deport back to their homeland, they riot, trashing your home because they’ve grown accustomed to living off your resources. You call the police to remove them, but Newsom and Bass blame you for the chaos, claiming your decision to evict them caused the unrest. But in reality, the fault lies with the Democrats for letting them into your home without your consent.
Likewise, over the past four years, Democrats have allowed over 10 million illegal immigrants into the U.S., costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars in housing, healthcare, education, court costs, and welfare. Now, President Trump is tasked with deporting them to stop the drain on public funds and restore order. The unrest in Los Angeles, as Newsom and Bass decry, is not Trump’s fault but a direct consequence of Democrats’ failure to close the southern border.
In 2023 and 2024, as Democrats pursued continual legal actions against Trump to try to lock him up before the presidential election, they repeatedly stated the slogan, “We are a nation of laws.” Yet, when it comes to America’s immigration laws—passed by Congress to reflect the people’s will—they ignore them. Their selective commitment to the rule of law exposes their hypocrisy, as they prioritize political goals over national sovereignty, public safety, taxpayer interests, and civilization itself.
Ultimately, Democrats’ actions reveal an anti-civilizationist stance, prioritizing unchecked immigration over a peaceful society. Online, you can find footage of cities like Los Angeles and Philadelphia in the 1950s, where businesses lined vibrant streets; people dressed with sophistication, worked diligently, and enjoyed a brilliant culture. America was a high-trust society. Contrast that with today’s reality: American cities have devolved into dangerous, third-world hellscapes. Today, as the riots unfold, LA is filled with people waving Mexican flags while cursing America, hurling objects at police, and looting businesses.
