Bartholomew County REMC has annual meeting

Bartholomew County REMC held its annual meeting virtually on June 17, continuing its commitment to member engagement while prioritizing accessibility and convenience.

This year, 2,622 members participated in the election process via mail and web voting—representing 25% of the cooperative’s membership.

The business meeting, led by Board President Curt Burbrink, included the presentation of the 2024 year-in-review video, highlighting the co-op’s milestones and achievements over the past year. At the conclusion of the meeting, election results were announced.

Dr. Brooke Case was elected to the board of directors, joining re-elected incumbents Janet Anthony and Ron Arnholt. Additionally, Bonnie Baute, Dwight Smith, and Lauren Johnson were elected to serve on the BCREMC Nominating Committee.

The meeting also marked the retirement of Dr. John D. Harker, who served on the board for 13 years. His leadership and dedication to the cooperative were recognized during the proceedings.

Members are invited to continue the tradition of connection at the Annual Meeting Meet & Greet at the Fair, which will be held on June 24. BCREMC employees and directors will be available to chat with members during the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair.
