Columbus City Utilities Quality Control Lab received the Indiana Water Environmental Association (IWEA) Laboratory Excellence Award for the second consecutive year.
This award is given to laboratories that demonstrate accurate data reporting, commitment to good practices and a high level of quality to their work.
“Columbus City Utilities is grateful for the QC Lab staff, whose devotion and meticulous work are reflected in their perfect QA/QC score,” said Travis Calhoun, Associate Director of Treatment Operations. “I’m extremely proud of their commitment to excellence.”
The survey included over 400 points of inspection in four categories: Quality Assurance/Control, Laboratory facility, General Laboratory and Analytes. The Columbus City Utilities Lab received an overall score of 92%, with a perfect score for Quality Assurance/ Control.
