Gilliatte General Contractors began tearing down the store portion of the former Dolly Madison Bakery on June 23, 2015, with demolition to begin on the factory the next week. The three-month project would clear the way for a new Kroger.

Demolition of the former Dolly Madison plant on North National Road began to make room for a new Kroger Marketplace. Gilliatte General Contractors of Indianapolis was responsible for the demolition of the 2,800-square-foot building.

2000

Columbus’ Volunteers in Medicine clinic was featured on WISH-TV, which focused on the organization winning the Indiana Achievement Award. The award included $10,000 for the clinic.

1975

The wettest June in Columbus since 1960 was recorded, with a total of 4.13 inches of rain, second only to 8.21 inches in 1960.
