The Bartholomew County Commissioners Monday approved the purchase of equipment for a new vehicle for the sheriff’s office.
Commissioners considered two quotes for the equipment. One quote was from Signal 10 LLC of Seymour for $14,110, not including the window tinting or installation of Axon cameras which usually costs an additional $800, said Sgt. Andrew Whipker. The second quote was from Move Over Outfitters of Lafayette for $19,253.10 including window tinting and installation of Axon cameras.
Commissioners awarded the bid to Signal 10 LLC to equip the office’s recently purchased 2023 Chevrolet Silverado. The window tint and cameras will be installed by a third party after purchase from Signal 10, the commissioners said.
