2015

Gov. Mike Pence visited the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair for two hours with his wife, Karen, where he chatted with 4-H’ers and posed for pictures. The day’s fair activities were sponsored by the Bartholomew County Republican Party.

2000

Children representing the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center visited Columbus City Hall and created a map of the United States out of gum wrappers and other trash for a lesson on littering. The completed picture was set to be displayed at the Bartholomew County Recycling Center.

1975

Indiana Army National Guardsmen began a four-day live-firing training exercise at Camp Atterbury. The guardsmen were firing 4.2 and smaller 81 mm mortars into a north central impact area.
