National Merit Scholarship Corp. has announced nearly 800 additional winners of National Merit Scholarships financied by colleges and universities, including one to a Columbus North High School graduate.
Rishab Rakesh Tirupathi, Columbus, received a National Merit Purdue University Scholarship. His probable career field is computer engineeing.
Officials at each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the finalists in the scholarship program who were planning to attend their institution.
College-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
