Three sets of twins, Caleb and Elijah Lowe, Alexis and Jennifer Scheidt, and Elizabeth and Emily Tedder, completed their final Bartholomew County 4-H Fair as 4-H Club members. Each set of twins had spent 10 years in the 4-H program.

Ann Windley of Seymour, executive director of Leadership Jackson County, was named as a board member of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic during its annual meeting at The Commons. Other board members named were Tom Lego, Jacqueline Franz, Howard Lickerman, Robert Orben and Barbara Tuttle.

“The Great Cross-Country Race,” a children’s play about a race between the tortoise and the hare, was presented at the Mill Race Amphitheater. The next play for the summer, “Oklahoma,” was scheduled for August.
