IU Columbus athletics will be charging admission this year for men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball games.
Tickets will be $7 and can be purchased at the gate with cash or card. IUC students, faculty and staff still will receive free admission with their Crimson Card.
All ticket proceeds will support athletic scholarships and enhancing the student-athlete experience.
In the meantime, IUC has partnered with Motion Sports to launch a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) technology platform for its student-athletes. Every Crimson Pride athlete will have access to Motion Money, which is a mobile-first platform that enables them to build a brand, generate NIL deals and handle taxes.
“As a young athletic department looking for every opportunity to enhance the student-athlete experience, this is an area I’ve been looking into for quite some time. This partnership with Motion gives our student-athletes a smart and safe way to jump head-first into NIL opportunities with local businesses and beyond,” IUC athletics director Zach McClellan said in a news release. “Being a former IU athlete myself, who played professionally prior to being a small college AD, and seeing that Motion was founded by top IU Kelley School of Business minds and invested in by one of the biggest named IU alums in history, it’s an absolute no-brainer to connect all of those dots for our student-athletes here at IU Columbus.”
