Franciscan receives achievement award

INDIANAPOLIS – Franciscan Health Indianapolis has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2025. The hospital is one of only 323 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

The award recognizes Franciscan’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that Franciscan Health Indianapolis has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.

To receive the award, Franciscan Health Indianapolis has demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024) and performed at the highest level for specific performance measures. Full participation in the registry engages hospitals in a robust quality improvement process using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients.

The Platinum Performance recognition adds to the accolades earned by Franciscan Health Indianapolis’ cardiovascular program, which has been ranked No. 1 in the state of Indiana by Healthgrades for cardiology (two years in a row), cardiac care, pulmonary care (two years in a row) and stroke care (two years in a row).

Franciscan Health Indianapolis has also been recognized as one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for vascular surgery and among the Top 10% in the nation for vascular surgery for six years in a row (2020-2025).

In addition, Franciscan Health Indianapolis has also been among CareChex Top 100 in the Nation in interventional coronary care for five consecutive years.
