Columbus native and North graduate Mary Claire King performed during pop star Kelly Clarkson’s concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City with her a cappella group, RANGE. The group sang Clarkson’s hit song “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).”

Ten teens from Bartholomew County Youth Services Center painted a mural on two walls at the handball courts in Lincoln Park. The project was sponsored by the Columbus Area Arts Council.

Columbus’ Gerald Olson was selected to work as a volunteer advisor to Indianapolis Mayor Richard Lugar. Olson also worked as an aid to J. Irwin Miller, chairman of the board of Cummins Engine Co.
