BEDFORD — Columbus East opened the girls golf season Monday with an 11th-place finish in the Bloomington South Invitational.
Franklin won the event with a 301 at Stone Crest in Bedford. Floyd Central finished second with a 305, and Batesville edged Center Grove 309-311 for third.
The Olympians finished with a 429 team total. Abby King led East with a 103, while Emma Gill carded a 104, Calleigh Gill added a 106, Amaylie Walsh shot 116 and Sofia Perez had a 122.
