JACKSON COUNTY – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P. is scheduled to begin intersection improvement work on U.S. 50 on or after Monday, Aug. 18, east of Seymour.
Intersection improvement work will take place between North County Road 1225E and North County Road 1250E approximately 1.5 miles east of Seymour. Motorists can expect the following restrictions at this location through late October, weather permitting:
- North County Road 1250E will be closed at U.S. 50.
- An 11-foot width limit will be in effect on eastbound and westbound U.S. 50.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
This work is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Milestone in January 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
