Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Psi welcomed five new members recently to join in the effort of raising money for cancer research.
The chapter is preparing to host its 20th Designer Purse Bingo on Sept. 23 at The Commons.
Since the chapter started bingo events in 2010, Phi Chapter has donated $258,586.35 to its national project of cancer research. This money goes to Phi Beta Psi and along with other chapters, the money is awarded each year to six doctors that are looking for research breakthroughs.
