HOPE
Hanz Martin Wiedersatz, of Hope, passed away on August 3, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1975 to Marty and Teresa Wiedersatz.
Hanz graduated in 1994 from Hauser High School. He was recognized his senior year as the outstanding “Welder of the Year” by the C4 program of BCSC. Hanz furthered his education at Vincennes University, graduating in 1997. He was a member of the Delta Gamma Iota fraternity while attending Vincennes.
Hanz started his working career with his father in the heating and air conditioning business. He got to put his welding skills to use becoming a skilled pipe fitter and a proud member of Union 440.
Hanz so enjoyed boating, water and snow skiing and anything having to do with the great outdoors.
He is survived by his loving children, Hagan Wiedersatz, an active airman stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany and Kira Wiedersatz of Shelbyville, Indiana, brother Nicholas Wiedersatz of Sugar Grove, Ohio and his mother, Teresa.
Hanz was preceded in death by his father, Marty Wiedersatz and grandparents; Fred and Julia Wiedersatz and Paul and Elsie Herron.
All family and friends are invited to share in a Celebration of Life on Friday August 22, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the Elks Club of Columbus, 4664 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus, Indiana.
