Schmitt Elementary School fifth-grader Macey Golden and Columbus East High School junior Rachel Stull were the winners of the annual Mill Race Marathon student art contest. Golden’s design was featured on the Kids Fun Run T-shirt and Stull’s design was the backdrop for the official poster.

Barbershop quartet Anytime closed the Donner Park Variety Show after performances from Alan Eddelman, Tryangle and Loretta Vinson. The group had previously performed at the show two years before.

Robert Finke of Columbus was elected as vice president of Region Nine of the Data Processing Management Association, which included Indiana, Michigan and part of Kentucky.
