PLAINFIELD — Columbus North pulled out a 3-2 win at Plainfield Monday in its boys tennis season opener.
Alek Devidze beat Josh Knowles 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, and Jace Branham topped Warren Wittenbring 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs. Luca Devidze and Jaishal Padmanabhan defeated Gabe Thorne and Aiden Guthrie 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
North’s Max Wei fell to Brock Remali 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Teddy Littrell and Vince Sasse lost to Gehrig Broughton and Jack Davis 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.
