Executive Chef Alexa Lemley of 240sweet and Artisan Foodworks in Taylorsville won the Ultimate Mac and Cheese Recipe Contest at the Indiana State Fair. Lemley was named grand champion by the American Dairy Association.

2000

The Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County awarded $135,000 to local nonprofit organizations in the third funding round of the year. The organizations included Foundation for Youth, Wheatfields Inc., Clifford Parks and Recreation and Columbus Fellowship Club.

1975

Edinburgh Community High School Senior Tracy Duncan was named reserve grand champion in the 4-H Halter Mare competition at the Indiana State Fair. Duncan competed against 78 other contestants with her horse, Twiggy Dolcash.
