SHELBYVILLE — Hauser dropped only 11 games over the five matches Tuesday in opening its Mid-Hoosier Conference boys tennis schedule with a 5-0 win at Southwestern (Shelby).
James Oliver beat Caleb McDonald at No. 1 singles, and Joel Bechtel topped Kentley Gosser at No. 2 singles, both by 6-1, 6-1 scores for the Jets (6-1, 1-0). Graydon Kilps downed Andrew Pike 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
Hauser’s Kam Blair and RJ Foster beat Kyle Beck and David Colton 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. Curtis Kilps and Brady Miller defeated Ryder Scott and Liam Tsukuno 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
