The Kevin and Georgette Crawford Student-Athlete Academic Center, named for Columbus dermatologist Kevin Crawford, opened at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Crawford graduated from Xavier in 1998.

Firefighter Gene Robertson, Lt. Dave Webster and Lt. Leon Schlehuser retired from the Columbus Fire Department with a combined 82 years’ worth of experience.
1975
A picture of Henry Moore’s “Large Arch” appeared in the Sept. 1 edition of “People” magazine, or rather, his own personal sculpture at his country home in England. The original sculpture is located at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza.
