HOPE, Ind. –Hope Fire Department was called to a structure fire in the 19000 block of East County Road 750N at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Engine 11 and Tanker 11 responded, with Engine 11 arriving first where firefighters discovered a single-story modular home on a foundation with heavy fire conditions.
Multiple attempts were made to conduct an offensive attack; however, operations were shifted to defensive when roof failure made interior access unsafe.
A dump tank operation was established for water supply, and more than 18,000 gallons of water were utilized to bring the fire under control.
No injuries were reported by the homeowner or firefighters on scene.
