Panthers nip Olympians

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County ended Columbus East’s two-match winning streak with a 3-2 boys tennis victory Thursday.

Parker Bales beat Trevor Ernst 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (3-6). Jennings’ Ty Zohrlaut and Luke Napier topped Michael Reed and Micah Wettschurack at No. 1 doubles, and Asher Morin and Colten Short defeated Carson Hartsook and Cooper Harry at No. 2 doubles, both by 6-0, 6-1 scores.

The Olympians (4-9) got a 6-1, 6-2 win from Kai Bergmann against Lucius Stidham at No. 2 singles and a 6-3, 6-3 victory from Landon Redelman against Charlie Treadway at No. 3 singles.
