kidscommons, Columbus’ children’s museum, will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a free, community block party in October.
This special milestone event takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 in downtown Columbus, between Third and Fourth and will feature hands-on activities, live performances, music, and more.
Highlights include a Touch-a-Truck experience with the Columbus Fire Department, Columbus Police Department, Toyota Material Handling, and Columbus Regional Health, plus an art program, STEM demonstrations, and local vendors offering interactive fun for all ages.
Families will also get to meet beloved storybook characters, including Clifford the Big Red Dog, Paddington Bear, and Skippyjon Jones for photo opportunities.
“We’re so excited to celebrate two decades of creativity, curiosity, and community,” said Whitney Hartwell, executive director at kidscommons. “This event is our way of saying thank you to the families, partners, and supporters who have helped us grow and inspire learning in Columbus for 20 years.”
Admission is free. For more information about the 20th Anniversary Celebration or kidscommons, visit www.kidscommons.org.
