Students in Julie Hult’s contemporary issues class at Columbus East High School explored various motivating factors and designed posters as part of an effort to inspire and encourage runners for the Mill Race Marathon.

2000

The Columbus North boys and girls cross country teams beat Seymour, with the girls taking the top 12 positions for a 15-50 win and the boys claiming four of the top five places for a 17-45 victory.

1975

Kathy Pieper of Columbus, a senior at Purdue University, was selected as a member of the National Centennial Commission of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education and Recreation. Pieper was appointed by Dr. Roger C. Wiley of Washington State University.
