Panthers fall to Floyd

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County won the No. 1 singles match and took the No. 1 doubles match to three sets against 30th-ranked Floyd Central Wednesday, but the Highlanders claimed a 4-1 victory.

Parker Bales beat Blake Schuler-Scanlon 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (4-7).

Jennings’ Luke Clapp fell to Reed Meunier at No. 2 singles, and Colten Short lost to Anthony Bowles at No. 3 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Ty Zohrlaut and Luke Napier fell to Tyler Cantwell and Grady Field 6-3, 1-6, (10-7) at No. 1 doubles, and Asher Morin and Charlie Treadway lost to Ethan Noble and Hudson Smith 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
