BATESVILLE — Batesville won all five matches in straight sets Thursday in handing Columbus East a 5-0 boys tennis defeat.
Kai Bergmann fell to Caleh Mohr 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Trevor Ernst lost to Jauaun Smith 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Landon Redelman fell to Carson Meyer 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (4-11).
East’s Michael Reed and Micah Wettschurack lost to Lincoln Garnett and Wes Peters at No. 1 doubles, Carson Hartsook and Cooper Harry fell to Owen Westerfeld and Landon Rauer at No. 2 doubles, both by 6-0, 6-1 scores.
