SHELBYVILLE — South Decatur overcame a second-set setback to claim a 25-14, 22-25, 25-15, 25-20 Mid-Hoosier Conference volleyball win Thursday at Southwestern (Shelby).
Taylor Somers led the Cougars (6-4, 2-1) with nine kills, 14 assists, three blocks and 16 digs. Dalilah Martin had nine kills and four aces, and Liz Bennett pounded nine kills.
Also for South Decatur, Raegan Benge recorded 13 assists, one block and 10 digs, and Riley Benge added two assists and two aces. Kennedy Sundal had two assists and one block, Martin notched 14 digs and Laney Seegers added 12 digs.
