About 70 people joined local police, fire and government officials on the lawn of Columbus City Hall to reflect on the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

2000

Columbus North, Columbus East and Hauser high school seniors were recognized at the annual Youth Salute program, which included a six-hour seminar at City Hall, lunch with the Rotary Club and an awards ceremony at The Commons.

Twenty-four fire hydrants were painted around Columbus as part of the Bartholomew County Bicentennial Program, including three that were painted to look like Superman, Iron Man and Captain Marvel.
