IU Columbus netted a pair of second-half goals Sunday afternoon to claim a 2-0 women’s soccer win against Eureka.
Lily Campbell scored off an asisst from Gaby Esparza in the 55th minute to put the Crimson Pride on the baord. Madelynn Thangam added an insurance goal off an assist from Rachael Garcia in he 86th minute.
IUC outshot Eureka 61-6, putting 32 shots on goal to six for Eureka. Zoe Bippus recorded six saves in posting the shutout.
The Crimson Pride (2-2-1) will visit Georgetown (Kentucky) Saturday and Ohio Christian Sept. 24 before returning home to play Shawnee State at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 27 as the opener of a women’s-men’s doubleheader at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex.
