GREENSBURG — Hauser won the second set Thursday, but South Decatur took close third and fourth sets to claim a 25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 25-23 Mid-Hoosier Conference volleyball victory.
Taylor Somers recorded 11 kills, 19 assists and four blocks, and Dalilah Martin had 21 digs and five aces to lead the Cougars (8-5, 3-1).
Also for South Decatur, Martin pounded seven kills, Kennedy Sundal tallied six kills and one assist, and Liz Bennett added two blocks, 13 digs and two aces. Raegan Benge contributed 16 assists and two blocks, Somers notched 16 digs and Raygan Harrison served one ace.
Hayden Dickey led the Jets (5-14, 1-1) with 11 kills and 26 digs. Leah Manley recorded 33 assists, Charleston Gelfius had two solo blocks and Kaysie Kistler and Kaidenze Shoaf each served three aces.
Also for Hauser, Shoaf tallied nine kills, one solo and one assist block and 18 digs; and Gelfius added seven kills, two assists and 20 digs. Dickey posted one assist, Peyton Norris had one assist block and Hope Bailey added one ace.
