Former Columbus North High School students Glenn Thompson, Michael Martin, Steven David and Jamie Hyneman were inducted into the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame. The awards were accepted in person or through a family member.
2000
Students at Clifty Creek Elementary School held Olympic games of their own, complete with an opening ceremony. A 1996 vintage torch was used during the ceremony.
1975
“Woman’s World,” a 40-page section featuring articles about women and a pull-out directory of over 100 women’s organizations in Bartholomew County, was published in The Republic. The articles were written by The Republic’s female editorial staff and supervised by Women’s Editor Jean Prather.
