Create a level five, fifth edition character prior to the game or use a pre-created character to explore the world of D&D. This game is beginner-friendly. All materials provided. Family Exercise and Movement with Ruth Bayardo — 4:45 to 5:15 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Bring your friends and family members for a kid-friendly exercise and wellness program.

Brewing Creativity with Ryan Zaharako — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.S. Artisans, 422 Washington St., Columbus. Ryan Zaharako is an up-and-coming watercolorist who will discuss his artistic journey from the Marines though writing and producing, to his passion of watercolor. Deb Miller “Back Home Again in Indiana” Book Tour — 6 to 8 p.m., Viewpoint Books Chapter Two, 425 Washington St., Columbus. Columbus native Deb Battle Miller, Fortune 500 vice president and marketing professor for Purdue University, will visit Columbus as the first stop on her “Back Home Again in Indiana” book tour. Miller will be joined by Brenda Weber, provost professor in Indiana University’s Gender Studies Program to discuss Miller’s memoir, “Forget the Fairy Tale and Find Your Happiness.” Attendees can get a signed copy and meet with Miller.
