Columbus North’s boys and girls soccer teams drew Johnson County schools, Columbus East drew matchups with powerhouse Center Grove teams an the Hauser boys are on the same side of the bracket as three ranked teams in their sectional.
That was how the boys and girls soccer draws from the IHSAA came down for local teams Sunday evening. The postseason kicks off next week.

The North and East boys both will be in action Oct. 7 in a Class 3A sectional at Whiteland. The Bull Dogs will face Franklin at 6 p.m., followed by East and Center Grove at around 8 p.m. The winners will meet in the semifinals at around 8 p.m. Oct. 8, and the sectional final is at 2 p.m. Oct. 11.
The 3A No. 20 North girls will play at host Greenwood at around 8 p.m. Oct. 7. The winner will meet the Whiteland-Franklin winner in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Oct. 9, followed by East taking on No. 9 Center Grove at around 8 p.m. The final is at 6 p.m. Oct. 11.
In Class A, the Hauser boys will face No. 13 and host Southwestern (Shelby) at around 7 p.m. Oct. 6. The winner will play No. 11 Shawe Memorial or No. 19 Southwestern (Hanover) in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Oct. 8. The final is at 2 p.m. Oct. 11.
The Hauser girls will meet Providence Cristo Rey at around 7 p.m. Oct. 8 in the first round of the Monrovia Sectional. The winner will play Monrovia or Indianapolis Washington at arond 7 p.m. Oct. 9. The final is at 7 p.m. Oct. 11.
If the North, East or Hauser boys win their sectional, they would host a regional final Oct. 15. If any of those girls teams wins their sectional, they would host a regional semifinal Oct. 16. The regional finals are Oct. 18 at Seymour for 3A and Knightstown for Class A.
Semistate games are Oct. 25, with Martinsville and Evansville North as the southern sites. The state finals are Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at IU Indianapolis.
North, East to meet in tennis
The IHSAA also held its boys tennis tournament draw Sunday, and Columbus North and Columbus East drew each other for a semifinal matchup at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at North.
Hauser and Greensburg will meet in the opening round at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will play Edinburgh in the semifinals at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The sectional final is at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
North will host the regional semifinals and finals Oct. 7 and 8. The winner will play in the semistate Oct. 11 at Center Grove against the winner of the North Central Regional.
The state finals are Oct. 17 and 18 at North Central.
