COLUMBUS, Ind. — Centra Credit Union recently supported three local nonprofits in Bartholomew County with $2,000 in donations as part of the Centra Foundation’s Pay It Forward campaign. Pay It Forward empowers Centra’s Team Members to lead mini-service projects in groups that support local nonprofits.
Centra and its team members love having the opportunity to get involved within the communities they serve. As a financial institution rooted in the credit union philosophy of
People Helping People, Centra actively seeks new ways to give their team members more
opportunities to give back in unique and meaningful ways.
The following nonprofit organizations serving Bartholomew County were supported as part
of Pay It Forward:
– Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program
– Columbus North Bulldog Pantry
– Beloved Bags
Centra Team Members also donated to various local food banks across the greater
Bartholomew County community.
“My team and I chose to support the Columbus North Bull Dog Pantry as part of our Pay It
Forward project,” Centra Digital Development Manager Michael Everett said. “Supporting
the Bull Dog Pantry was a meaningful way for us to show up and give back to a community
partner that seeks to help students with food insecurity.”
Centra Foundation’s Pay It Forward campaign gives Centra and its Team Members another opportunity to live out their vision of creating value for each other, their cembers and the communities they serve. In the third quarter of 2025, 154 team members volunteered their time, and a total of $10,000 went back into the communities Centra serves.
