Crimson Pride cruise to three-set win

IU Columbus picked up its second River States Conference volleyball win in less than 24 hours with a 25-15, 25-14, 27-25 victory against West Virginia Tech Saturday.

Bailey Stevens led the Crimson Pride with 21 assists and three aces. Sadie Egan tallied nine kills, Journee Brown had three blocks, Alyvia Luce notched 11 digs and Kami Vester served three aces.

Also for IUC, Brown pounded eight kills, and Cora Baker added seven kills and one ace. Egan posted nine assists and one block, Luce added five assists, Ruthie Bingham had one block, Stevens notched nine digs and Vester added seven digs.

The Crimson Pride (13-6, 4-3) visit IU East Friday and Midway (Kentucky) Oct. 11 before returning home to host Shawnee State Oct. 17 and Kentucky Christian Oct. 18.
