2015

The Tipton-Bartholomew monument near Third and Lindsey streets was crated for protection in preparation for its move from what was once called “Tipton Knoll” to a spot closer to the street corner. The knoll was set to be leveled out to provide better visibility for pedestrians and motorists.

2000

Ford Motor Co. presented its Q1 award for speedy delivery and high quality to Cummins Inc. during National Quality Month. Plant Manager David Womersley accepted the plaque from Warren Smith, Ford’s manager for supplier technology assistance.

1975

The Bartholomew County Community Band, directed by Charles Biggs of Hauser High School, performed in concert at The Commons as part of a six-day agriculture show. The show was sponsored by the Agriculture Division of the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.
