The Bartholomew County commissioners selected contractors for culvert wedging project work Monday.
Culverts on Base Road, County Road 425E and County Road 850S were not wedged, according to county officials. Wedging provides backfill and stability around a newly-installed culvert pipe.
There are two culverts on Base Road that need to be wedged, according to the commissioners. Three quotes were sent in to be considered, they were from Dave O’Mara Contractor for $28,278; Milestone Construction for $17,800; and All Star Paving Inc. for $16,378. The commissioners voted to go with All Star Paving for the Base Road projects.
On County Road 425 ast, there is one culvert that needs wedging, county officials said. There were three quotes submitted to the commissioners for the project. Dave O’Mara Contractor quoted $19,207; All Star Paving Inc. quoted $11,488; and Milestone Construction quoted $8,900. The commissioners voted for Milestone Construction for the project.
For the final project on County Road 850South, three bids were submitted for the project. Dave O’Mara Contractor for $26,393; All Star Paving Inc. for $12,892; and Milestone Construction for $8,900. They voted to go with Milestone Construction for the project.
