Lung Screenings – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., IU Columbus, 4601 Central Ave., Columbus. The IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, IU Health and the End Lung Cancer Now initiative are bringing a mobile lung screening unit to the IU Columbus campus. Lung screening is a covered benefit by most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, for individuals who are between the ages of 50 and 77 and/or have a 20-pack-year smoking history (one pack a day for 20 years, or two packs a day for 10 years). Flu Shot Clinic – 3 to 4:30 p.m., Sarla Kalsi Conference Center, 222 Fourth St., Columbus. Walgreens and the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center are hosting a flu shot clinic. The event is open to the public, courtesy of Walgreens, and is for ages 3-and-over who have insurance including traditional Medicaid, MdWise, Medicare Part B or are uninsured/underinsured.
