Edinburgh police: Man critically-injured in Sunday go-kart crash

A man was critically-injured in a go-kart crash on Kyle Street in Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.

EDINBURGH — A man was critically injured when he was ejected from a go-kart on Sunday in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Police responded to a report of a crash in the 600 block of Kyle Street at around 1:41 p.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old male who was unresponsive from a go-kart crash, according to a news release from the department.

A witness told officers that the male driver was on a handmade go-kart and lost control, striking the curb, and was ejected. Edinburgh Fire medics arrived on scene and transported the driver to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition, the news release says.
