Columbus Signature Academy – Lincoln second-graders in Rhonda Brill’s class raised money for the American Childhood Cancer Organization’s Pjammin Program, and wore pajamas to school to celebrate. The children also released lanterns to honor children with cancer.

More than 90 people attended the Business Showcase Breakfast at the Holiday Inn, sponsored by the Columbus Enterprise Development Corp. Director Jack Hess discussed business upstarts creating, rather than following, consumer trends.

Nineteen local industries, including Arvin Industries, Cosco, Inc., Cummins Engine Co. and Golden Foundry were featured at the Columbus Industrial Show at The Commons. The free event was sponsored by the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.
