Shannon Kerry Harden, 73 of Trafalgar, IN passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born September 12, 1952, in Columbus, Indiana to William Lee “Eppie” Harden and Margaret Louise (Ferry) Harden.
Shannon had an infectious smile that warmed everyone who came near. He loved his Coca Cola’s, Nestea and cheeseburgers. He was forever patient and tolerant but at time, he would oogly boogly you! Shannon forever changes many lives.
He is survived by his loving staff and housemates, former staff Mary Ayers and Judy Abbott and he will be forever missed. Also surviving is his brother John Harden of Sierra Vista, AZ and a sister Sharon Dial of Seymour, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Sheila Littrell, Michael Harden, Tami Harden, Cecilia Harden, Kathy Harden, and William Harden, friends who became family Richard Davis, Jerry Knajdek, Linda Boruff, Steven Calhoun and Steven Bray.
A service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 3PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN 46131 and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/shannonharden. Friends may call Tuesday October 21, 2025, from 1PM until service time at the mortuary.
A graveside service will follow on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 2PM at Houston Cemetery in Houston, Jackson County, Indiana.
